An Anti-Socialist Jobs Example

Me

It’s hard to understand why people think a Presidential election can flip a switch on the direction of such a large diversified economy in a global marketplace. It’s a popular complaint however. It strikes me as pretend ignorance.

Steven

It’s not hard! People have been conditioned to believe that one person can turn around 8 years of multi-layered neglect. They’ve been partially conditioned by that person himself! It’s an impossible task, but the only thing that gets voters into booths. Sad but true. We’re on the Titanic that people expect to turn like a speedboat. We all know how that turned out.

Hey, I’ve got an idea. Let’s create a real-estate Ponzi scheme and get the whole world to ante up. Then we can create millions of real estate agent, mortgage broker/packager, and financial whiz-kid jobs. They won’t form one of those evil unions. Plus, all the real estate owners will love it because they’ll think that they’re rich.

Then we can initiate a couple more discretionary military expeditions underneath a patriotic flag. Those employ lots of folks. Nobody’s going to argue with spending China’s borrowed money to live safe under the flag.

And then we can further explode spending and hiring in the industries that are shrouded by security clearances. That’s an easy one, because nobody on the outside can find any information about it, and nobody on the inside can say anything about it. It’s the perfect solution.

Voila! “Boy, we’ve got ourselves a convoy!”

Steven

No, no. That would never work. Some government watchdog agency would surely put the cabosh on a plan like this. They are incorruptible and have razor sharp eyes for chicanery of this kind. I’m shocked you’d even propose such nonsense.
